The magical stage of Solinaria in Sozopol will gather talented musicians in July

The fourth edition of the youth art festival “Solinaria” will be held from July 2 to 13 in Sozopol.

In 2024, there will be two master classes – in piano and chamber music by Prof. Borislava Taneva and Dr. Elena Cholakova, as well as violin – by Angelina Abadjieva. The interest is serious and the groups for the master classes are almost full.

The program in this edition will be 6 days long, and both talented performers and established names will appear on the magical stage of “Solinaria”. The project was implemented with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.

“Solinaria” is a cultural platform stimulating the development of young talents. On a global scale, the demand for such formats is strong, considering that the sense of communication in modern children is highly developed and placed in completely new conditions.

The program includes a recital by the piano duo “Atmospheres”, in which the young Bulgarian pianists Alexandra Dicheva and Mila Mihova – both full-time doctoral students at the NMA “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”. Although relatively recently formed, the piano duo managed to establish their name in a short time, relying on uncompromising professionalism, non-standard choice of repertoire and unadulterated musicianship. The duo will perform for the first time in front of the Sozopol audience.

The second festival evening will be dedicated to the world premiere of a special

the work created for piano and violin by the Bulgarian composer Borislava Taneva. Soloists will be Virginia Spiridonova-piano, Dimana Pancheva-violin and Vladimir Meranliev – students at NUMSI “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in the city of Burgas. In addition to this emphasis, the concert program includes works from world and contemporary classics performed by the “Secret Orchestra” chamber orchestra with conductor Nikolay Stoev.

On the third festival evening, Kristin Hristov – tenor and Viktor Kostov – piano will be on the stage of the Youth Art Festival “Solinaria”. The diverse program of the extremely charismatic musicians is a guarantor of the interest that their appearance will cause.

The fourth evening of the festival is traditionally dedicated to the participants in the violin master classes of Angelina Abadjieva (violin) – a long-time concert master of the national radio orchestra in Cologne, Germany, as well as the master class of Prof. Dr. Borislava Taneva (piano) and -r. Elena Cholakova (piano and chamber music). The vocal virtuosos from the “Spectrum” ensemble will perform on the fifth festival night. The repertoire of the ensemble includes original arrangements of works of different styles and genres from classical and Bulgarian music and from world pop and rock music.

And on the sixth evening, the “Eurochorus” will perform on the magical stage of “Solinaria”. This special choral project aims to promote European choral music and encourage cultural exchange in Europe. Its conductors are Marco Amherd, who is the artistic director of the Davos Festival and of the Swiss Vocal Consort, and Donka Miteva, former conductor and choir director at the State Opera Münster, Germany (2007-2011).
