“Trace” – A Photography Exhibition with a Cause, Honoring the 100th Anniversary of the Fishermen’s School on St. Kirik and Julita Island
The photography exhibition “Trace” by Hristo Anestev was officially opened in Sozopol during an elegant cocktail event that brought together dozens of guests – leading figures from the local business community, academia, collectors, and photography enthusiasts. The ArtSoul Gallery buzzed with vibrant energy and inspired conversation, placing strong emphasis on the significance of the exhibition.
Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the beginning of construction of the Fishermen’s School on St. Kirik and Julita Island, the exhibition celebrates a landmark site in the cultural and historical memory of Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. The event is the result of a collaborative effort between the Solinaria Foundation, the St. Kirik and Sozopol Island Foundation, and the Municipality of Sozopol.

Art with a Mission
All artworks in the exhibition are available for purchase, with proceeds going to a charitable cause – the purchase of a concert grand piano for the students of the National School of Music and Performing Arts “Pancho Vladigerov” in Burgas. The campaign is organized by the Solinaria Foundation in support of the next generation of talented young artists from the region.

When and Where?
The exhibition is open to visitors every day until June 27, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at ArtSoul Gallery in Sozopol. For those unable to attend in person, all works will also be published on the official website of the Solinaria Foundation, where they can be viewed and purchased online. Purchased pieces will be delivered a few days after the exhibition closes.
Leave your trace – support art, support the future.
Each photograph in the exhibition captures the imprint of time, the glow of the sea, and the subtle presence of humanity – a visual narrative of Sozopol and its island, seen through the artist’s lens.
